Reggie Bush had a successful 11-year NFL career, but he is most known for his five seasons with the New Orleans Saints. After one of the most electrifying college careers of all time, the Saints selected the USC Trojans star running back second overall in the 2006 NFL Draft to help take the team to the next level. He made an immediate impact, as the Saints rode a 10-6 record to the NFC Championship Game, a first for the franchise. Bush continued to be a threat all over the field, including as a punt returner where a 270 yard and three touchdown 2008 season earned him a spot on the 2008 All-Pro First Team. New Orleans stormed out of the gate in 2009 with a 13-0 start, on its way to a franchise-best 13-3 record. Their dominance continued through the playoffs as Bush’s two-touchdown Divisional Round game and one-touchdown NFC Championship Game helped lead the Saints to appear in Super Bowl XLIV. Behind Bush’s 63 total yards from scrimmage, the Saints went on to win their first Super Bowl in team history. Bush’s contributions to his first team earned him a spot in the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame in 2019.
