The Orlando Magic was an upstart franchise when Penny Hardaway joined following his selection as the third overall pick in the 1993 NBA Draft and subsequent trade from Golden State. Sure, dominant center and future Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame member Shaquille O’Neal was there, along with a host of veterans. But the arrival of Hardaway ushered in a new era of Magic basketball where exciting plays were followed by wins. He spent six seasons in Orlando, earning All-NBA First Team status twice and playing in the All-Star Game four times. He helped lead the Magic to the NBA Finals in 1995. More than 20 years later, Hardaway was honored with inclusion in the organization’s Hall of Fame. His selection in 2017 is marked here with Hardaway’s inscription “Magic HOF 2017” on this piece of game-used floor. This limited edition (25) “This Magic Moment” collage is accompanied by a 26” x 5” autographed section of NBA game-used floor on which Hardaway played. The authentic piece of NBA game-used floor featured in this item was legally procured directly from an official NBA arena. Actual game-used floor sections may vary in appearance from the product image shown. The overall framed dimensions measure approximately 36” wide by 24” high. Hardaway’s black paint pen signature and inscription are deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five-Step Process.
