While most casual college basketball fans didn’t know who Markelle Fultz was when he first took the court as a freshman at the University of Washington, it took all of one game for him to make headlines. Facing off against Yale in the 2016-17 season opener, Fultz poured in 30 points and made everyone took notice of the Pacific Northwest. He ended up starting all 25 games for the Huskies, averaging 23.2 points per game while shooting 48 percent from the field. He was not only a scorer for the young Huskies, he handed out nearly six assists per game and played the kind of defense worthy of the No. 1 overall pick.
