Larry Johnson spent just two seasons on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, but he left an indelible mark on the program and college basketball as a whole. After transferring from Odessa College (Tx.), he teamed with Stacey Augmon, Greg Anthony and Anderson Hunt to lead the Runnin’ Rebels to the NCAA title under head coach Jerry Tarkanian. UNLV brought an up-tempo game mixed with a tough swagger to become one of the most popular champions in history. They came up short in the Final Four the following season after a perfect regular season, but that doesn’t tarnish the effect Johnson and crew had on the game of college basketball. He has signed the front of this jersey, which also features a UNLV patch and a patch honoring the season (1989-90) in which the Runnin’ Rebels wore this jersey.
