In 1995, the Chicago Bulls were looking to add a defensive threat that could rebound. Dennis Rodman of the San Antonio Spurs perfectly fit the description so they went ahead and acquired Rodman for Will Perdue. The acquisition of Rodman solidified the historical powerhouse that the Chicago Bulls became. With two championships under his belt, Rodman added three more with the Bulls. In his time with the Bulls, he played 199 games, averaging 15.3 rebounds, 5.2 points, and 2.8 assists per game. The all-time great rebounder had his best season with the Bulls in 1996-1997 when he averaged 16.1 rebounds per game. Rodman earned the nickname “The Worm” from his mom because of the way he wiggled when he played pinball. The nickname stuck with him as he went on to be one of the best rebounders to ever play in the NBA.
