After leaving her mark in college basketball, Cameron Brink is one of the next big things in the WNBA. Coming in as a five-star recruit, the forward was a standout for the Stanford Cardinal, setting a program record of 88 blocks in a single season in her freshman year, and being named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman team. With 10 points, six rebounds and three rebounds in the national championship game, Brink helped Stanford take down the Arizona Wildcats for their first title in almost 30 years. Her accolades kept adding up in college, as she helped lead Stanford to another Final Four, broke her own single-season blocks record with 118, and collected honors including Pac-12 Player of the Year twice, Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year three times, the Lisa Leslie Award, and being named a first-team All-American. Brink was highly sought after when she declared for the WNBA Draft. She did not have to wait long to hear her name called as the Los Angeles Sparks selected her second overall in the first found. Brink joins a long line of big names to play for the Sparks and looks to bring a historic franchise back to its glory with championships.
