When the Los Angeles Lakers traded for Anthony Davis before the 2019-20, they had championship expectations right off the bat. The superstar center immediately lived up to those expectations with 26.1 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, helping lead the team to a 52-19 record to secure the number one seed in the Western Conference. Davis stepped up his performance in the playoffs, where he recorded 27.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per game, as the Lakers won three straight playoff series in five games to earn a spot in the NBA Finals against the Miami Heat. It did not stop there, as Davis’ 25 points and 10.7 rebounds per game, including 34 points in a Game 1 win, helping lead the Lakers to win the Finals in six games. This was Davis’ first NBA championship and the Lakers’ 17th, which put them in a tie for the most of all time at that time.
Davis has signed and inscribed “2020 Champs” this Spalding 2020 Lakers championship basketball in black paint pen. His signature and inscription are deemed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck Authenticated’s Five-Step Process.
