Not only does the event annually showcase some of the world’s best golfers, many of the proceeds go to national and local charities. Nicklaus himself designed the par-72, 7,392-yard course. But with an epic comeback buoyed by crucial shots and a team camaraderie not seen in team golf competition on the American side in years, the U.S. pulled out the 16-14 victory. Thomas scored the most points for the Americans with 3.5, which included a 3-1-1 overall record. Woods scored three points with a spotless 3-0 overall record. But what stood out most watching these two great golfers was the fun they had playing together. Jack Nicklaus Autographed “Echoes In The Pines” 30×40

When the 1986 Masters Tournament teed off, Jack Nicklaus was near the end of his legendary career. At age 46 and six years removed from his last major championship – the 1980 PGA Championship – Nicklaus was not expected to compete at Augusta. Tell that to the heart of a champion. Compete, Jack did. In fact, he competed to the point of being in contention Sunday, which ended up being a day that few sports fans will ever forget. At the 15th hole he was four shots behind Seve Ballesteros. But he kept chipping away, and when he sank an 18-foot birdie putt on 17, he held the lead and finished it off for his remarkable 18th career major title. What made the putt even more legendary was the sight of Jack “walking it in” right after he struck it as well as the call of “Yes Sir!” from legendary announcer Verne Lundquist. The moment is captured here.

Jack Nicklaus & Justin Thomas Autographed “Mentorship” 24×20

WCube Solutions — Tue, 14 Dec 2021 06:29:38 +0000

Every golfer faces their own set of struggles early in their career. Trying to both make a name for oneself while also trying to make the cut each weekend in one’s 20s is a challenge few are able to rise to. Justin Thomas faced these struggles early in his professional career after an amazing college career. But one major conversation with a man who had been there before – Jack Nicklaus – changed everything for JT. A three-hour conversation in 2017 with the greatest golfer of all time taught him many things, among the most important was to not always attack every drive with aggression but rather find the green when your long game isn’t at its peak. A mentorship began that day, one that positively affected JT in more ways than one. Since 1960, only Tiger Woods and Nicklaus have reached 14 career wins at a younger age than Thomas.
